This website is operated by Cameron West Electrical, an independent electrical contractor working across Richmond, Twickenham and surrounding West London areas.

The content on this site is provided as general guidance for homeowners, landlords and property managers. It is not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a qualified electrician, and no guidance here should be taken as instruction to carry out electrical work yourself.

Quotations are free and given in good faith based on the information available at the time. Where a job cannot be assessed accurately without seeing the installation, an indicative figure may be given and confirmed on site before work starts. Quotations are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.

If additional work is discovered once wiring or a consumer unit is opened up, work stops and the extra is discussed and agreed with you before it proceeds. You will never receive an invoice for work you did not approve.

You agree to provide safe access to the property and the areas to be worked in, and to advise us of anything relevant that we could not reasonably know — for example previous alterations, asbestos, or underfloor heating in the working area. Furniture and fragile items should be moved clear where practical.

Unless agreed otherwise, payment is due on completion of the work. Larger projects such as rewires may be arranged in stages, agreed in writing before work begins. Certification is issued once payment for the relevant work has been received.

All work is carried out to the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671). Materials and fittings carry their manufacturer's own warranty. If you believe there is a defect in the workmanship, please contact Cameron directly so it can be inspected and put right. Damage caused by others, misuse, or subsequent alterations by another party is not covered.

We hold £5M public liability insurance and £1M professional indemnity insurance. Certificates are available on request.

Please give as much notice as possible if you need to change or cancel a booked appointment. Where materials have been ordered specifically for your job and cannot be returned, their cost may be chargeable.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
